November is National Adoption Month. Each year, this is a time to honor families who have adopted, provide training to child welfare professionals, and raise awareness about the need for adoptive families.

This year’s theme is “Small Steps Open Doors.”

The theme focuses on engaging older youth in their permanency planning. After all, youth are the experts of their own lives. When you partner with youth in permanency planning and let them make decisions that impact them, this can make a big difference.

How can you participate?
