Why should I attend this webinar? Too often when we hear that a family is struggling, we focus our attention on the child, assuming the challenges stem solely from the child’s experiences with loss and trauma. While childhood loss and trauma have a significant effect on relationships, attachment, and bonding, this narrow focus prevents us from examining the impact of parenting styles and expectations on relationship formation.
As a result, we miss opportunities to provide supports that address larger family issues. This webinar helps child welfare professionals make a mindset shift and offers tips and strategies to change the way we approach supporting families.
