Perspectives of youth adopted by lesbian and gay parents

This report shares the findings of a study of 13 LGBT families who adopted children from foster care. Parents and children (all 13 and older) participated. It includes quotes from the young people and advice about working with youth who were adopted by LGBT parents. Researchers concluded that children raised by lesbian or gay parents develop in ways very similar to children with heterosexual parents and that lesbian and gay couples are similarly capable in their parenting roles as heterosexual parents.
