April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

Date: Apr 1 - Apr 29

National Child Abuse Prevention Month recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to strengthen families to prevent child abuse and neglect.

On the National Child Abuse Prevention website, you’ll find resources including protective factors conversation guides, a multimedia gallery to help you engage partners and families, and a 2021/2022 Prevention Resource Guide.

The Children’s Bureau, within the US Department of Health and Human Services, funds the National Child Abuse Prevention Month initiative each April on the Child Welfare Information Gateway.
